Metabolic Leader is a center for excellence and offers a comprehensive Diabetes Clinic to assist our patients with managing their Pre-Diabetes, Type I Diabetes, Type II Diabetes, as well as other less common forms of Diabetes. Dr. Babirak is a nationally recognized Diabetes provider for more than 30 years and supervises the care of all diabetic patients whether for those who are newly diagnosed, those who have difficulty controlling their diabetes or those who need long-term care and follow up. Dr. Babirak follows the American Diabetes Association Standards of Care for education and management starting with teaching skills patients can use to make good food choices, recommending appropriate physical activity and monitoring their blood glucose levels. These standards ensure evidence based measures to provide excellent clinical care. We work closely with Certified Diabetes Educators for basic and intensive education and Registered Dietitians for medical nutrition therapy, as well as more intensive training in advanced dietary instruction. In addition, we offer state of the art insulin pump training and continuous glucose monitoring in one convenient location.
